Melanie has long black brown hair that goes a little bit below her shoulder blades. She has very thin brown eyes, usually defined with black eyeliner. Her eyebrows are thick yet nicely former. She's actually pretty tall standing at 5'5. She's pretty skinny for having a baby a year ago. She's cacaussion, but has a light but noticable bronze. As a naturally tall person she feels like she should where flats, but she doesn't. When you see her you see her sporting the trends that are in, and usually a pair of heels.

Melanie Rae Jefferson was born on December 31th to Richard and Jamie Jefferson in Venice, Italy. She was the last child of her parents. When Mel was three years old her parents moved to London to be closer to her mum's family, and for the fact her brother Samuel was heading to Hogwarts. As a young child Mel was very stubborn, she fought with everyone about everything. Being the youngest made her big headed, and a little to full of herself. Having three older brothers and one older sister, they often all were a little too overprotective of her.
When Mel's letter to Hogwarts arrived her parents were both sad and happy for her, she was the baby and was finally heading off to school. In Mel's third year her parents died in a car crash, leaving her eldest brother Samuel the sole provider of her family. That was Mel's hardest year of her life. She was jelouse of all her older sibblings. They had gotten a longer amount of time with their parents than she did. By her fifth year she was excepting the fact that her parents were really gone, and she came back into reality.
When Mel started her fourth year she started dating, and Samule had to explain stuff to her which was really difficult on him and her both. In January of her fifth year Mel found out she was preagnant, and she decided to keep the baby. It was hard for her to tell her brother after all the discussions they had that she was pregnant, but once it was out in the open everyone expected it. The professors wanted her to leave school until the baby was born, but she refused to. On August 15th Mel gave birth to her daughter Natalie Jackson. The father was longtime friend and boyfriend Anthony Jackson, when he found out she was pregnant he dumped her on the spot. Anthony was 17, he went to Durmstrang Institute.
Now it's Mel's seventh, and last year at Hogwarts. Everyone knows of the pregnancy except the first years, and it won't stay that way for long. Mel spends lots of time doing her studies, and awaiting the holidays, so she can see her daughter. She had a lot of catching up to do for she missed the first couple of months of her sixth year, but she'll catch up. She almost has, she's took some summer classes they offered at the ministry to catch up. Her N.E.W.T.S will be comming up soon and she has a lot of studying to do, but she knows she can do it.
